History
The Group was formed in January 2004 to promote the breeding of this new and exciting variety of Oriental cats in the UK. The Group gained Affiliation to the GCCF in October 2007.
The breed gained its GCCF Preliminary Recognition in February 2006, received its promotion to Provisional Status effective from June 2008 and made its final progression to Championship Status in June 2010. Since the early days of recognition, the breed have gone from strength to strength, achieving itโs progression faster than any other breed.
First import
The first import was an American bred male, TASSAM TOM OF LANDICAN. He was a black & white (OSH n 03) owned by Sarah Johnson & Pat Norman who arrived in the UK on 18th February 2004.
First Merit Winner & Qualifier
First titled cat
The first title winner and Premier was IGrPr MAZPAHS REBEL ROY (OSH b 03) when he gained the title of Premier at the Siamese Cat Society of Scotland show on the 03/07/2010
First Champion
The first Champion, Grand Champion and Imperial Grand Champion was
IGrCh & Pr INLAY JOOP VAN SCALINDJO (OSH n 03).
He was made up to Champion at the Gwynedd Cat Club on 17/07/2010, to Grand Champion at the Kentish Cat Society on 16/10/2010, and to Imperial Grand Champion at the Bedford & District on 23/4/2011.
First Olympian
The first Olympian was IGrCh & OS,IGrPr FIORDILISO NANPEMA NUAGE (OSH n 03 33) when she was awarded the Olympian Bronze title at the Northern Counties Cat Club show on 28/05/2016. She was then awarded the Olympian Silver title at the Durham County Cat Club show on 27/05/2017.
